Lovin' the country life

We have been in our "new" house that we built about a year and a half now.  We are in a neighborhood, but we rarely see our neighbors (besides the ones next-door) and share a cul-de-sac with only one other house.  We actually are technically the only house on our street!  We have a huge side yard and backyard and we enjoy being outside when the weather is nice to grill out, watch the kids ride bikes and play, etc.

Here is our house in the Springtime:

We have the best neighbors, who we often grill with (our neighbor Dave is a master griller/smoker!) or sit around the fire with.  This winter, we decided to get our own firepit from Lowe's, and we used it for the first time on  Thanksgiving night.  We enjoy sitting around and grilling hotdogs and marshmallows!

Here is the fire we had on Thanksgiving night:

Daddy Baer and Baby Baer...

Just the other night we decided to cook our dinner on the fire--hotdogs, steak skewers and marshmallows for dessert.  Mmmmm!!!

Time for dessert!

Looking good!

I'll huff and I'll puff....

What a nice family night!

Just a typical Friday night at home with the 4 Little Baers!

Also, I wanted to add one more reason why we love living in the country...

Make that 6...

We feed our deer "deer corn" each winter that we get from Bass Pro Shops when we go see Santa in December.

We don't mind sharing our space with these beautiful animals!

Happy Winter!
